About the Role

We are seeking a Senior Solution Architect to play a key role in designing, improving, and ensuring the quality of our clients’ IT solutions. This role is ideal for someone with a solid IT background who is fundamentally a broad generalist, with a strong understanding of how networks, connectivity, infrastructure, and hybrid cloud interact within modern IT environments.

At the same time, we value candidates with one or more areas of deep expertise, such as public cloud (AWS, Azure, GCP), OpenShift/Kubernetes, OpenStack and Open Source platforms, data centre/infrastructure, or related technologies.

You will work closely with clients, the sales organisation, and delivery teams, acting as a trusted technical advisor who translates business needs into sustainable, scalable, and secure solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and architect client solutions within:

  • Hybrid cloud and cloud-based platforms

  • Private cloud and open platforms, including OpenStack and Open Source technologies

  • Networks and connectivity

  • Infrastructure (on-premises, private cloud, and public cloud)

• Act as technical lead in client discussions, workshops, and pre-sales activities

• Support sales through technical presentations, solution proposals, and architectural descriptions

• Work in DevOps-oriented environments, promoting automation, Infrastructure as Code, and close collaboration between development and operations

• Ensure solutions adhere to best practices regarding security, availability, scalability, cost efficiency, regulatory compliance, and data sovereignty requirements

• Lead and support modernization and migration initiatives, helping clients transform legacy platforms into modern, hybrid, and cloud-native architectures

• Serve as a mentor and technical support for consultants and delivery teams

• Stay up to date with technology developments and contribute to the evolution of Iver’s managed services, platform solutions, and consultancy offerings

Qualifications and Experience

We are looking for an experienced professional who combines technical expertise with strong business understanding. Our mission is to provide expert advice and solutions for our customers in their technology journey. We expect you to be curious, lead yourself and the customer to new creative solutions and methods, and have a keen interest in the ongoing development of technology. To succeed in this role, we believe you are a good communicator with the ability to make complex IT simple, you understand the importance of working together to achieve goals, and you have good business understanding.

To succeed in this role, you should have:

·       Several years of experience as a Solution Architect, IT Architect, or in a similar position.

·       Broad technical knowledge in networks and connectivity, servers, storage, and virtualisation as well as hybrid cloud architectures.

In-depth expertise in at least one specialist area, such as:

• Public cloud (Azure, AWS, GCP)

• OpenShift/Kubernetes and container platforms

• Infrastructure/data centre

• Proven experience in client-facing roles, ideally within IT service organisations or consultancy environments.

• Strong ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions.

• Excellent command of Swedish and English, both spoken and written.

• Relevant certifications are an advantage but not essential.

Location: Iver has offices in 23 Nordic cities. For this role, we expect you to be based at one of our offices in Stockholm, Gothenburg or Malmö.
